The Problem That Led to the Launch of The AI Agent named HeyCurrent
After being on many high growth teams, Current Founder Connor Green got sick of outdated SOPs, Policies, and Company Docs.
Meet HeyCurrent: the AI agent that keeps your company's knowledge up to date
HeyCurrent is an AI agent that keeps your company docs, policies, procedures, and knowledge base accurate at the speed your company actually moves.
It listens to the places where decisions get made - Slack, meetings, documents - notices when your written knowledge has drifted out of sync, and drafts the fix. Nothing changes until a human approves it with one click.
Why your knowledge base is always out of date
Most companies don't have a documentation problem. They have a maintenance problem.
You can write a perfect SOP today. But your company is growing and changing faster than anyone can keep those docs current. So your team references procedures from three months ago, tells customers things that stopped being true last quarter, and onboards new hires on last year's policies. The doc looked complete the day it was written and quietly became a liability by month six.
It gets worse as you add AI on top. Your support bot, your internal search, your RAG system - every one of them is only as accurate as the knowledge base it reads from. A neglected KB doesn't produce no answers. It produces confident, wrong ones.
Workers already lose close to a full day a week - McKinsey estimates 9.3 hours - just hunting for the information they need. When that information is also out of date, the lost time turns into wrong answers given with confidence.
How HeyCurrent Keeps Your Docs up to Date
You connect the tools where your team makes decisions and communicates - starting with Slack. HeyCurrent listens for changes to your processes and policies as they happen, then compares them against the matching material in your knowledge base - like Notion.
When it notices something out of sync, it doesn't just flag it. It drafts the corrected version and prompts you to update, with a one-click, human-in-the-loop approval flow. You stay in control of every word that gets written; HeyCurrent just removes the part where you had to notice the drift, find the doc, and rewrite it yourself.
That's the difference worth knowing: most knowledge tools can detect that a doc has gone stale, but only after a person goes looking. HeyCurrent surfaces the drift proactively and brings the fix with it.
From a 5th-Grade Candy Business to an AI Agent
I've been an entrepreneur since I was a kid - reselling candy to classmates, that sort of thing.
In 5th grade, my dad sat me down and taught me how to track my candy P&L in Excel. The problem: after he left, I forgot how to do it. So I had to ask him again - and this time I wrote it down.
That was my first SOP.
Twenty years later, after building teams from 0 to 30 and working at several fast-growing companies, the same problem showed up everywhere I went: keeping policies, procedures, and company knowledge accurate in the face of growth and turnover. After adding 20 employees and changing our procedures manually a million times, I finally asked the obvious question - what if I could announce a change once, and have every doc update itself?
I started building the answer that same day. That's HeyCurrent.
Where this is going
Our mission is to change how companies grow and manage change at the level of operations.
The vision is simple to state: a founder, exec, or manager announces a change once, and the company's entire body of knowledge reflects it instantly, with zero contradictions.
No more announcing a new onboarding procedure in Slack that never makes it to Notion.
No more shipping a product feature that never makes it into the support docs your AI support agent relies on.
No more "I didn't know that" or "we changed that six months ago."
That's the world HeyCurrent is built for - and it's live today.
Frequently asked questions
What is HeyCurrent? HeyCurrent is an AI agent that keeps a company's documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base up to date automatically. It monitors tools like Slack, meetings, and documents, detects when written knowledge has drifted out of sync with reality, and drafts the correction - which a human approves with one click before anything is published.
What is knowledge base drift? Knowledge base drift is the gap that opens up between how a company actually operates and what its documentation says, as processes, policies, and products change faster than the docs get updated. Drifted knowledge leads to outdated SOPs, incorrect customer answers, and AI assistants that confidently cite stale information.
How does HeyCurrent keep SOPs up to date? HeyCurrent connects to the tools where decisions are made, such as Slack, and listens for changes to your processes. When it detects that a change isn't reflected in your knowledge base, it drafts the updated version and prompts you to approve it with one click. You review every change before it's written.
How is HeyCurrent different from a knowledge base like Notion or Confluence? A knowledge base stores your documentation. HeyCurrent keeps that documentation accurate. It works alongside tools like Notion - detecting when content has gone stale and proposing the fix - rather than replacing where your knowledge lives.
Does HeyCurrent change my documents automatically? No. Every suggested update goes through a human-in-the-loop approval step. HeyCurrent detects drift and drafts the correction, but a person approves it with one click before any change is written to your knowledge base.
Why does an up-to-date knowledge base matter for AI tools? AI support bots, internal search, and RAG systems can only be as accurate as the knowledge base they draw from. An outdated knowledge base causes these systems to produce confident, incorrect answers. Keeping the underlying knowledge current is what makes every AI tool built on top of it reliable.
